Thoughts of Peace
Via hardcopy, email

•  Spend one minute of your time in complete silence, in prayer for peace, in meditation, or in quietly sending good thoughts to another person. You may do this as many times as possible, taking note of the number of minutes you have accumulated.

•  After having done this, you may now:

Fill up and submit your participation form via email or hardcopy, and send to the addresses indicated in the form.

Via this website

If you are reading this, you're in the correct page. Click the 1-minute guided meditation option in the menu bar on the left. After listening or viewing, sign the form at the bottom of each page and click submit. Your name, location, and number of minutes shared in peaceful thoughts will then be recorded.

Acts of Peace

There are millions of ways to do peaceful acts. Below are just few of the options:

__ Forgive someone.
__ Apologize for a mistake or fault.
__ Study the issues in the government-MILF Memorandum of Agreement on
A ncestral Domain with an open mind.
__ Reconcile with somebody who has hurt you.
__ Confront your prejudices against other groups and begin to reflect on
      their uniqueness and value.
__ Smile at a stranger.
__ Affirm a friend's good quality.
__ Listen more and talk less.
__ Instead of reacting, stop, reflect, and then act.
__ Write a letter to the editor asking the government and the MILF to return
      to the negotiating table.
__ Do not gossip.
__ Freely share knowledge or skill that will help prevent conflict.
__ Act as a referee between two disputants.
__ Speak up against any injustice or exploitation that you see.
__ Help fighting friends or family members to reconcile and heal.
__ Help two people in a dispute to find their common interest.
__ Encourage children to use non-violent means to address a conflict.
__ Ask for contributions or organize fund-raising activities for the internally
      displaced people.
__ Give your body a break from vices.
__ Thank your parents for supporting you.
__ Share personal resources to help prevent or resolve a conflict.
__ Encourage dialogue between friends who are in conflict.
__ Help your family / neighborhood / organization find a creative solution
      to a problem.
__ Listen to and acknowledge the feelings of others.
__ Empathize: Step into the shoes of someone you are at odds with.
__ Volunteer information that would help expose corruption.
__ Join / form a peace circle to address various forms of violence.
__ Count 1 to 10 when a situation triggers a negative reaction from you.
